This does exactly what it says on the bottle.  It repels water and, because most stains are carried as a fluid, it repels them too. 

The best thing about this is that it doesn’t contain any nasty gases or solvents and it’s not an aerosol so there are no CFCs involved.  This water-based product leaves a protective, invisible coating on your shoes that repels water sprays and spills.

Please note, this is NOT a water-proofer  but a surface protector.
